Experience

May-Nov 2010 Spent six months abroad, in Tokyo, Japan
  • Visited local research labs
  • Language study and cultural experience
  • Two-month man-to-man French tutor at IHCWAY
Oct 2006 –
May 2010
Ph.D candidate, ADELE team, Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble (LIG), Grenoble University.
Title: Handling service disruptions with a SLA-based approach.
This work focused on composition and reconfiguration issues on dynamic service platforms. Studied contexts range from ambient intelligence to application servers.
  • Extended a service-oriented component model to handle service disruptions through SLAs, and to make service consumers tolerant to disruptions.
  • Contributed to AspireRFID OW2 open-source project. This project promotes a service-oriented and event-driven middleware targeting the Internet of Things. The middleware allows systems to leverage information about identified objects (by RFID or any other IDs) and additional data such as sensor measurements.
  • Talks: presented my research and my lab work in international conferences, in a meeting of a research group on ubiquitous computing (UbiMob), and to Mexico university students (UAM).
Mar-Sep 2006 Research-oriented internship, ADELE team
Studied Service-Level Agreements and dynamism-related issues in the OSGi service platform.
Jun-Sep 2005 Software engineer internship, ADELE team
Developed a plugin for the Eclipse IDE. This plugin facilitates OSGi bundles creation for developers and allows administrators to remotely manage OSGi gateways. This work was later integrated in OW2 Jasmine project that proposes an administration tool dedicated to Java EE, message-oriented middleware (MOM) or service-oriented distributed applications.
